Harvey Granat & Christine Andreas

Teaches at 92nd Street Y

Harvey Granat is a popular cabaret performer, Broadway producer and historian/educator of the American popular song. He performs at various supper clubs, resorts and cultural venues, including engagements at Feinstein’s at the Regency, Birdland, and Canyon Ranch. His shows focus on a composer and/or lyricist, combining his singing of their songs with stories from their lives, many of which come from his personal collection of letters and manuscripts from legendary composers and lyricists. Granat co-produced 4 time Academy Award winner, Sammy Cahn, on Broadway in Words and Music. The show had a successful run in New York and toured all over the United States and abroad. His friendship with Cahn led to his serving on the Board of the Songwriters Hall of Fame with Cahn and many other well-known composers and lyricists. He has taught at universities, including Florida Atlantic where his very popular series is in its 4th year.

Christine Andreas is a highly respected Broadway actress/singer and recording artist. Her Broadway credits include the role of Eliza Doolittle in the 20th-anniversary production of My Fair Lady, for which she received the Theater World Award, and other leading roles in Oklahoma and On Your Toes for which she won Tony award nominations. Stephen Holden of the New York Times said: “Christine Andreas has one of the 4 or 5 most compelling voices to be heard in the Broadway theater.”
