"It is a pleasure and privilege to share my joy and passion for art and music with students of all ages and backgrounds. My students are my inspiration. More than anything else, I care about helping them achieve their goals and delight their souls. My favorite quote is from American novelist and science fiction writer, Robert Anson Heinlein: 'When one teaches, two learn.'” Linda Wehrli is committed to continuing lifelong learning, inspiring creative thinking and sharing her two favorite passions, art and piano, with others. Since 1989, she has been happily teaching students of all ages pastimes that will last a lifetime. A lifelong artist with works in private collections, Linda has been drawing since age 5 and painting since age 12. She received formal training from the art professors at Cal State Northridge and has continued to study with various artists throughout the years. She is always experimenting and searching out new ways to use and combine techniques and mediums. Her blend of precision, creativity and fun makes her classes educational, informative and entertaining. She instills her art students with the unique combination of respect for structure and curiosity for innovation. In addition to her formal art training, Linda also has a degree in business administration and marketing from CSUN. She shares this information with students who aspire to start their own art business or teaching practice. Sharing her knowledge is just one of the many ways Linda contributes to her community. She is also a member of various professional organizations, chambers of commerce and her local Rotary Club.
Linda is wonderful…her studio is great. And, I learned so much!

I am learning that there is more to drawing than just making lines and circles. It's an interesting course.

My daughter and I both took this class. Lynda was very professional and did a great job describing what we were doing to both me and my 7 year old. Definitely learned some good fundamentals.

This was the most amazing experience! I’ve been looking for an art class for years and never found one that “fit” until now! Although I have been drawing for several years, I’ve never taken a drawing class. This class starts at the most fundamental level, which is what I’d been hoping to find. The instructor is also amazing and it was so cool to see what other students are creating! The ambiance in the classroom was also perfect for creativity!

This class was not what I was expecting because I thought we were going to be learning to use graphite sticks. To my surprise, all materials were provided, and it was actually a very basic beginners class in graphite pencil drawing that taught me some very valuable skills and history. I have been drawing my whole life and have taken many art classes, but these techniques were still new to me and very useful in improving my drawing skills. It went by fast, but I had a wonderful time.
I loved my afternoon exploring "Drawing with Graphite". Great teacher, great information, great environment. They were kind, helpful, and reached out to check in on me when I was running late which I really appreciated. I look forward to returning for more - art classes and other classes! Thanks!
