Jennifer Murray

Teaches at Los Angeles Center of Photography

Jennifer Murray is an artist, educator, and curator based in Chicago. She is the executive director of Filter Photo, a nonprofit festival, exhibition, and educational space. Her research and professional practice span photography-based visual projects and curatorial projects. Recent curatorial projects include Furtive at the Chicago Cultural Center. Murray is a frequent curator, portfolio reviewer, and juror at photography events across the US including Dodho Magazine, Aint-Bad Magazine, Photolucida’s Critical Mass, LensCulture, PhotoNOLA, Society for Photographic Education, and Foto Fest. She received an MFA in photography from Columbia College Chicago. 

She is an Instructor of Photography at Loyola University Chicago and an independent artists’ consultant and mentor working with artists on project development and exhibition preparation.
