Our Agile Fundamentals (ICP) course is an industry-recognized credential that demonstrates an understanding of the Agile mindset, values, principles, and foundational concepts. Professionals are grounded in what it means to “be Agile while doing Agile” and achieve organizational agility without specific focus on any single Agile methodology or framework (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, XP, DSDM, SAFe, etc.)
Agile Fundamentals (ICP) class contains a good balance of theory and practice. We go through the core of Agile for building working products while learning techniques and practices.
- Agile History, Culture & Mindset Session: the thinking behind the Agile Manifesto, important characteristics of the Agile mindset for growth
- Shared Understanding Session: creating a common shared understanding within a team or project
- Shifts in Roles Session: shifting to self-organizing and self-managing for an Agile organization
- Planning and Adapting Session: progressive elaboration and estimation
- Incremental Development Session: what’s contained in a Product Backlog, decomposition, and User Stories
- Work-In-Progress Session: implications of frequent interruptions vs. limiting WIP
- Process & Product Adaptation Session: continual improvement and retrospective techniques for emergent and adaptive needs
- Customers and Users Session: obsessively involving the users/customers
CertificationThis course satisfies Agile Fundamentals ICAgile Certified Professional (ICP) certification requirements.
At the end of this course, students will receive the ICAgile ICP certification, students must be in attendance all schedule sessions with active participation.
Note: It is beneficial to have some knowledge about Agile. It is also expected for you to have familiarity with the “Agile Manifesto” on agilemanifesto.org.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
