CompTIA Security+ is an entry level technical security certification that validates your knowledge of basic information security concepts, communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, and operational security. This course will prepare students for the Security+ exam.

Security + Exam
Students must pass one exam, with 90 questions and in 90 minutes exam to become Security+ certified. Students must gain a 750 (on a scale of 100-900) or better on the exam to pass. This course teaches exam SY0-601.
Security + Course Labs
This course prepares students for exam using a series lectures, and hands on labs to get students ready for the Security+ Certification exam. Some of the labs will include securing a workgroup and client server network, configuring firewalls, footprinting networks, managing malware protection, using IPSec, certificates, cryptography, and configuring group policies.

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Cancellation made up to 8 business days prior to the start of the class will receive a refund.
All refunds will be charged a 15% processing fee.
Rescheduling is permitted 2 business days prior to the start of the class.
Students must attend 80% or more of class total duration to receive a Certificate of Completion.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
