What you'll learn in this social media marketing training:

Social Media Beginners classes will teach you how to build a strategy for social media that fits your business. In addition, you will gain a strong understanding of how Social Media has changed the marketing world and how it can revitalize your business.  You need social media to be included in your business marketing plan and the Social Media Beginners class will help you get started.

In our Social Media Beginners class, you will understand how to build a strategy to engage an audience, grow your community, and drive more inbound traffic to your website.  This is a fantastic starting point for anyone who is new to social media for business or is looking for how to grow an audience with existing social channels.

The Social Media for Business class is an A-Z explanation of how to increase awareness, create social media campaigns, build your brand, connect with your customers, grow customer loyalty, and more.  It is no longer a question of “why” you should be using social media for your business; it is now something every business needs to have.

Upon successful completion of the Social Media Beginners class, students will be able to:

  • Determine which social media platforms are best for your business
  • Understand your voice on social media
  • Integrate social media into your marketing plan
  • Create a system to manage your social media
  • Understand the importance of digital marketing as a part of your overall marketing plan
  • Effectively use social media to continue to build your online community

Pre-requisites

  • Basic digital literacy including file management is required
  • Having a Google AdWords account set up prior to class is recommended, but not required

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

  • Students not accepted to the school are entitled to all monies paid.
  • Students who cancel this contract by notifying the school within 4 business days are entitled to a refund less 5% cancellation fee.
  • Students, who withdraw after 4 business days, but before the commencement of classes, are entitled to a full refund of all tuition paid except the maximum cancellation charge of $150.00 or 25% of the contract price, whichever is less.
  • In the case of students withdrawing after the commencement of classes, we will retain a cancellation charge plus a percentage of tuition and fees, which is based on the percentage of contact hours attended. The refund is based on the official date of termination or withdrawal.

If you would like to cancel or transfer a class, you must send your request in a written notice via email to [email protected]. Transferring/rescheduling a class registration is equivalent to a cancellation and is treated accordingly.

Cancellation/Re-scheduling of classes by the school

If class enrollment does not meet the minimum requirement of students, the class may be canceled or re-scheduled. Participants will be notified prior to the start of scheduled class, typically with at least 2 days (48 hours) of advance notice.

In the event of a cancellation, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee, or the paid balance may be applied toward another upcoming class.

All applicable refunds will be made within 30 days from the date of cancellation.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
