Description

Take 1-on-1 lessons live online with veteran Scratch DJ Academy Instructors, when you want, where you want, on whatever equipment you have.

Founded in 2002 by Jam Master Jay of Run DMC, Scratch has taught over 500,000 aspiring DJs and producers worldwide. Now available from the comfort of your home studio.

There is no one size fits all.

Whether you are into Serato, Traktor, Rekordbox, or DJay, we got you covered. Our veteran instructors will custom tailor your experience to help you excel with any piece of DJ gear. Anyone with a smart phone or laptop can get started. Scratch welcomes students of all ages and skill levels.

How it works

Scratch online lessons are performed securely 1-on-1 using Zoom and we offer flexible scheduling to allow you to learn at your own pace. Once you make your purchase, you will be paired with an amazing instructor who will contact you to schedule your first lesson.

Important Scheduling Notes:

Scheduling for private lessons is flexible and subject to the instructor's availability.
In the rare event the instructor is unavailable during the booked date and time, the instructor will reach out and reschedule you based on your availability. You also have an option for an immediate refund.
Price is $85 for a 1 hour class.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

LEVEL 1 CLASSES:

All Level One classes are subject to change or cancellation by the Academy. In the event that a course must be cancelled, all students in that course are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations by the student after the start of the current term are subject to a $50 cancellation fee as well as a $75 charge (per class attended).
No refunds will be given after the 3rd class.

SUMMER CAMPS:

Camp enrollment is 95% refundable up until one month prior to the camp start date.
Any cancellation after that time will not be issued a refund.
Campers may switch camp dates subject to availability up to June 1.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS:

After School Programs are subject to change or cancellation by the Academy. In the event that a course must be cancelled, all students in that course are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations by the student or parent after the start of the current term are subject to a $50 cancellation fee as well as a $75 charge (per class attended).
No refunds will be given after the 3rd class.

PART-TIME PROGRAM:

The Part Time Program is non-refundable.
Part Time students are allowed one term off during their certification track. However if a student takes more than one class term off, then a $500 reinstatement fee will be incurred and a mandatory evaluation of student to assess the correct level class upon re-entry. Students may have to retake a class at an additional fee.

ACCELERATED PROGRAM:

The Accelerated Program is non-refundable.
The Accelerated Program meets twice weekly (vs. once in the Part Time Program) for a period of 32 weeks.
Due to the intensive nature of this course, there are no breaks from class.

IN PERSON PRIVATE LESSONS:

1-on-1 Lessons are non-refundable.
Any student canceling a lesson must do so at least 24-hours in advance.
Cancellations within 24-hours of a scheduled lesson are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Lessons must be completed within 6 months of purchase.

LIVE ONLINE LESSONS / KIDS LIVE ONLINE DJ LESSONS:

Online Lessons are non-refundable.
Any student canceling a lesson must do so at least 24-hours in advance.
Cancellations within 24-hours of a scheduled lesson are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Lessons must be completed within 6 months of purchase.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
