What you'll learn in this voice over class:

We will:

Teach you foundation performance basics
Help you pinpoint which genres you’re more likely to book (this is a huge benefit)

And to make sure you’re right for the industry, and the industry’s right for you, we give you a test-drive: You’ll have free access to 10 VO classes, workouts, and audition simulations.

There are 4 steps:

1. You’ll begin with a candid evaluation in a 2-hour group class: Animation, audiobooks, audio dramas, audio guides, commercial, documentary…23 genres total! Voice actors are way more successful when they focus on genres best suited to their voice, goals, and interests.

2. After that, you’ll receive your coaches’ feedback with recommended next steps: During the evaluation portion of your Voice Over Intro Package, your coach will (1) give you live-directed candid feedback, (2) assess your voice, performance, and natural vocal strengths, and (3) develop a realistic path for you. Afterward, our team will review all this with you by phone.

3. Then you’ll get Edge’s popular Industry Guides: including the Edge Studio Industry Performance Guidebook, The 5 Types of VO Demos, and The Demo Script Selection Guide. These are industry-trusted and will aid in your voice over training journey, helping you to make informed decisions and know the industry better.

4. Lastly, you’ll get to ‘Feel what it’s like being a voice actor!’ You’ll have free access to 10 VO classes, workouts, and audition simulations. This is an amazing opportunity to: Experience our coaches, Meet other students, Meet other voice actors, Hone your skills, And ask questions! We’ll give you the schedule and Zoom links for all of them, so you can log-in anytime you want, to as many as you want – and feel welcome to totally participate or just observe and learn!

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Sales are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Reschedule Policy

If you reschedule with more than 3 business days notice, there is no cancellation fee or additional fee to reschedule if you notify us at [email protected] and during regular business hours (M-F 9:00am-5:00pm ET).
If you reschedule with less than 3 business days notice, we’ll do our best to accommodate you, but please note the following charges which will be applied:

$25 for the Investigate Voice Over Class or any standard webinar or class.
$75 for any private session.
$750 for a demo recording session.

If you are a “no-show”, the same charges as listed above will apply.

When the school needs to cancel or reschedule:

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to low enrollment, inclement weather, or other extenuating circumstances.
Should this happen, and depending on the service that you have purchased as listed above, you may be offered to reschedule (if possible) or to receive a credit for the amount of sale.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Good informative class. The instructor and engineer had some very good information and relayed this to the participants. Would have liked to have had one 5 minute break during the class is the only drawback that I could see here.

The class was very up front and they let you know whether or not your voice really is marketable and how much training and suggest you for other types of voice over genres and styles, there are so many to choose from.

My class experience was delightful and my feedback was very encouraging. Brian Bremer is an excellent director and I am so glad that we met!!! I wasn't sure of what to expect. Brian made me feel welcome and he was very inviting. My career and dream of becoming a Voice Over Artist is never far off my mind. However, it is not affordable for me at this time to take classes. I lost my job in July. I am scheduled for an Audition with GaRRS this Wednesday 10/18 and I just signed up for the newsletter with Edge Studios so that I can join the weekly Talk Time Sessions. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to discover that I do have a talent for the Voice Over Profession. Thanks for allowing me to share my experience.

The class, which was taught by David Goldberg, was fantastic. David's feedback during the class was highly specific and reflected his expertise. Even when it was critical, he gave it in a manner that was respectful and encouraging. I plan to continue my training with Edge partly based on the feedback and encouragement that David gave me, but also because the class gives me confidence in the quality of Edge's training offerings.

I think that we should not be given the option to pick the pieces to record. I think that should be chosen for us. Also I feel that we should be allowed to keep our recorded pieces after the class.

Noelle was absolutely fabulous, and the class was educational, enlightening, and exciting! I thought it was paced really well, and had a great mix of lecture and activities. I'm not even sure if it's possible, but my one suggestion would be to maybe parse folks out into those who have some theatre background, and those who don't. Unfortunately, I felt as though the lengthy period when Noelle gave feedback to other folks as they did their readings slowed down the course. A lot of the feedback she gave people was very general, and struck me as common sense (albeit, completely suited to them!) As a result, I felt as though a portion of the class was "wasted", so to speak, and I found myself craving more feedback and direction that I could potentially apply to my own work.

It was alright! Lots of great information, and it was fun to practice reading aloud with the instructor's feedback. I didn't really know that it would turn out to be a kind of mini-audition (at least, the other participants seemed like they had that intention?), so it was a little stressful. The post-session feedback was nice, but I didn't really understand it, like "yellow lighted."

David was awesome! I was a little late but luckily I didn't miss too much. The class was 3 hours but our class was so much fun that it didn't even feel like 3 hours at all! I had been looking into vo for a while so this class was more of a refresher for me and just wanted to get more feedback on my voice as I was already considering training here. My evaluation came the next morning as he said it would. Great class!!!
