NYCPA aims to provide the skills needed to read and write music notation as well as understand and analyze music, from the basics to the most advanced concepts.
A high level Music Theory training provides a deeper understanding of the process behind a composition through music reading, scales, intervals, keys, different musical components, etc. It is not possible to be a good pianist without a solid understanding of Music Theory!

Who is this class for?
Anyone ages 8-10 who wants to learn how to read and write music notation, understand and analyze music, from basic to advanced concepts. This program is available in Jazz or Classical Music style.
NOTE: Each session runs for 45 minutes. You can select your preferred start time on the available time slots.

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
