Sara DeLaney

Teaches at New York Yoga

From the very first moment that Sara stepped onto New York pavement she knew this city was for her. Driven by her love of theater she would make regular pilgrimages to the city year after year until finally in 2005, after graduating from Ithaca College with a B.F.A. in Musical Theater, she made this amazing place her home. So it is only appropriate that she now finds herself at New York Yoga! Originally from Upstate New York Sara started singing and dancing at a very young age throwing her self into every opportunity to perform that she could find. Upon graduating college, Sara moved to New York to pursue her career as an actress. Her journey eventually led her out to Sacramento, California and it was here that she fell hard for yoga! Sara enrolled in a 200 hour teacher training at Zuda Yoga and never looked back. While studying at Zuda, Sara taught for the Sacramento Ballet and even though she loved her California life and its sunny skies, couldn’t shake the fact that she was a New York girl at heart and made her way back to the East Coast where she gets to combine her favorite things, theater and yoga, in her favorite city. Sara teaches a powerful and challenging class while still maintaining an atmosphere of fun and playfulness….and good music never hurts! She believes that it is important to live a life full of passion and love and tries to bring that into all of her classes. She loves the sense of community that yoga brings and is grateful to be able to share it with you!
