Timothy Michael Cooper

Timothy Michael Cooper is a filmmaker and improvisor based in Brooklyn.

He wrote and directed the digital sitcom Concierge: The Series, starring Kate McKinnon, which was nominated for the first-ever Writers Guild Award for New Media.

Premiering at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, he wrote and directed the short comedy Lemon, starring Jennifer Westfeldt, Noah Bean, and Jenn Lyon; the project received a 2018 IFP Screen Forward Fellowship for development into a sitcom.

For the past five years, Timothy has been a member of the writers’ room for the Writers Guild Awards, writing material for comedians like Lewis Black, Colin Quinn, Michael Ian Black, and Amber Ruffin.

As the founder of Blueprint Screenwriting Group, Timothy has taught hundreds of students, many of whom have gone on to sell/produce their features, get staffed on TV shows, and find agents and managers.
