Michael McLarnon is an improviser from Philadelphia currently living in New York. He's studied improv, acting, and sketch writing at the Magnet and the UCB under Armando Diaz, Rachel Hamilton, Peter McNerney, Megan Gray, Alex Marino, Russ Armstrong, Rick Andrews, Mark Grenier, and other amazing teachers.
Michael can currently be seen performing with his sketch team Trouble Town and around the city with his indy team, Gentlemen. He is a veteran of Magnet's Megawatt program (Call Tokyo, Dog Scarf, and Titan), spent a year writing and performing with the amazing sketch group Baby Shoes, and he is also the coordinator and host of the Magnet's Circuit program.
This is more like 4 1/2. In other words a scale of 10 I give it a nine. Well run, but the room was a little small for the number of people participating. Also, the instructor at one point you told me to keep in mind that I might offend the sensibilities of the audience. I think as a beginner, I should not self censor. It is hard enough to come up with things, so to tell me not to include Certain things — to think about whether I might be 9offending someone —makes me hesitate. And I hesitated the rest of the class after that.
