Teaches at SHEBA- Belly dance school

Born in Israel to Arabic speaking Libyan parents, bellydance music was always played in the background. My father, blessed with a powerful singing voice was forever listening and singing along to classic Egyptian musicians like Abdel Wahab, Hafez , Farid El Atrash and of course the "Voice of Egypt"– Umm Kalthum. My mother preferred lighter Middle Eastern music that was mostly produced in Israel so naturally I had to protest against it all and started listening to heavy metal music!

My interest in music took a more serious turn and as I am an All-Or-Nothing type of a person I pursued it and became a performing/recording artist. I've reached a point where I needed another creative outlet and remembered that I once saw a bellydance drum solo video that a friend shared with me and thought it was amazing so I started taking classes and absolutely fell in love with this art form!

"I hit the ground running!" I took as many classes, workshops and festivals I could, always studying with great teachers in both classical and fusion.

I love being on stage so I started performing almost immediately.

After some time I invested in training as a teacher deriving lots of joy from spreading the art and seeing students improving and blossoming! My heart responds with endless enthusiasm to Arabic music, instrumentation, rhythms and diverse dance expression.

For me it's a connection to my homeland and family, specifically my father and a full circle...

I love Salit's classes and I'm so honored and proud to be a part of the SHEBA team!

The way I see it the only requirement in bellydance is to be oneself and keep growing and that's very empowering and healing.
