After 25 years of growing entrepreneurial businesses and nonprofits, Mark Monchek’s (@MarkMonchek) mission is to help entrepreneurs build profitable and meaningful businesses in ways that make the world a better place. As president of The Opportunity Lab, Mark leverages his expertise in executive coaching and consulting to create programs that spark innovation, growth, and acceleration in the social enterprise space. His innovative approach has benefited companies such as Apple, General Electric, The New York Times, The Wharton School of Business, the Harvard Business School Club, Cornell University, YPO, and NBC. He is a passionate storyteller and facilitator of meaningful dialog, and his goal for this workshop is to change participants’ belief about what is possible for their future.
Bobbi Van sees her life as a work of art. For her every day is a new adventure filled with possibility in seeing the beauty in the simple and easily overlooked. As an entrepreneur, producer and fundraiser Bobbi worked with the Museum of Natural History and Universal Pictures to create an educational program based on Jurassaic Park that reached 8 million kids to inspire and educate; an educational program in South Africa under the auspicious of the ANC, a branding project with the Pearl, a major real estate complex in Qatar and many philanthropic projects. As a mentor she worked with five executive women to help 6 young girls reach college after years in foster homes. Bobbi also has also mentored young people who have been abused by helping them tell their stories through art.
In 2002, Bobbi began her career as an artist and a sculptor. Her work drew the attention of many collectors and her work has shown in Lincoln Center, Regionale Museo in Moralia, Mexico, Guild Hall in East Hampton, the Navila Group and the Asia Contemporary Art Fair in Hong Kong. In May, 2015 she will show her work at debut of the FLUX ART FAIR in Harlem. Since 2009 Bobbi has been a member TEDx New York Salon community as a facilitator/curator and member of the organizing team.
