Will Lenihan

Teaches at Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Will Lenihan is the Curator of Natural Science at the Staten Island Museum where he oversees a herbarium of 25,000 specimens, some of which date back to the 1840s. He is a graduate of BBG's Horticulture Certificate Program and the State University of New York at Plattsburgh's Ecology program. Will is a lifelong carnivorous plant enthusiast, and his undergraduate research titled, Carnivorous pitcher plant species (Sarracenia purpurea L.) increases root growth in response to nitrogen addition, was published in the journal, Botany.
