Steve Kutos

Teaches at New York Botanical Garden

Steve Kutos is a graduate student in Biological Sciences - Ecology at Fordham University in the Dr. J.D. Lewis lab. His research focuses on how urbanization and the future effects of climate change might affect resource and nutrient transfer between trees. In addition, he works to understand how soil fungal communities function in this nutrient transfer and how they might be altered due to disturbance. He currently works on stable isotope transfer between American chestnut (Castanea dentata) and three native northeastern tree species/
