Kyle Lalone

Teaches at Queens Guitar School

Kyle started taking lessons when he was 9yrs old and formed his first rock band, Myth, at age 12. He hasn’t looked back since!

By the end of high school, his band had played numerous festivals and parties and opened for recording artists American Hi-Fi, Willa Ford, and Dream. After that, Kyle won a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts. While at Berklee he focused on learning as many different styles of music as possible–rock, blues, jazz, reggae, r & b, funk, pop, hip-hop, folk, and metal. He had the opportunity to study with guitar instructors such as Kevin Barry (Paula Cole, Mary Chapin Carpenter), Bruce Saunders (Jack DeJohnette, Bill Stewart), and Dave Fiuczynski (Stewart Copeland, Meshell Ndegeocello). Kyle also participated in several ensemble classes such as The Bob Marley Ensemble which performed at The Montreal International Reggae Festival, Vermont Roots Reggae Festival, and Charlemont Reggae Festival.

Since graduating from Berklee in 2008, Kyle has been playing in several Northeast based bands of various styles and teaching guitar lessons full time in the Boston area. He loves teaching students of all ages and levels of ability. As a recent transplant to Brooklyn, Kyle hopes to continue to grow as an instructor and player!
