An Oakland, California native, Juliet has a background in Folk, Classical and Jazz piano and voice. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area Folk music scene, Juliet has been influenced by traditional Eastern European, Balkan, Turkish, Flamenco, Americana, Irish, Scottish, Indian and Brazilian music and dance. She has spent years absorbing these styles in a traditional folk setting, supplementing with her love of Bebop, Soul, Pop, Funk and R&B. Juliet's eclectic musical upbringing, in combination with her love of performing brought her to the University of Oregon, where she received her Bachelors of Music degree in Vocal Performance. She has been teaching piano and voice since completing her degree in 2005. Juliet writes and performs her own music, and has been involved with numerous theatre productions and companies throughout Oregon and California.Juliet's students appreciate her because she is extremely warm, encouraging, and enthusiastic about sharing her love for music and performance. She truly loves the student-teacher relationship, and the process of getting to know a students' learning style, taste preferences, and personality.
