Iviva Olenick

Teaches at Shoestring Press

Iviva Olenick is a Brooklyn-born and based artist working at the intersection of handcrafts, interactive storytelling and social media. Muriel Guepin Gallery represents her artwork in New York City. She has exhibited at additional local and national venues, including the Center for Book Arts in NYC, the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn, Denise Bibro Fine Art in NYC, the Brooklyn Arts Council and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Her work has been reviewed in Hyperallergic, the New York Times, and published in several books about the resurgence of handcrafts and DIY in our contemporary, digitally-driven culture. Iviva is currently a Co-Create Artist in Residence at IMC Lab and Gallery in NYC where she is partnering with technologists to add interactive audio and visual components to her small fabric sculptures. Finally, Iviva teaches art to adults and children at numerous NYC venues.
