Gabriella Barnstone

Teaches at New York Yoga

Gabriella is so happy to be teaching at New York Yoga. She is a proud graduate of the Laughing Lotus College of Yoga. She came to yoga by way of a dance background, and is so grateful for the many healing benefits it has brought to her life. She is the founder of MatriMony Mony, New York’s first original wedding choreography company, and El Gato Teatro, a dance theater company where she creates her own work. She brings everything she learns in these creative endeavors to her yoga teaching. Among the many things she likes to share with her students are the philosophies of yoga, and how to integrate these philosophies into our daily lives. Her classes are a manifestation of her love of music combined with a fluid, exciting asana practice that focuses on sequencing, alignment, and flat out joy. She loves the group experience and is excited by what that energy can bring to a room. She is a firm believer that yoga is, among other things, fun.
