Experienced in the world of all that is coffee and espresso, Jessa’s true talents live in her focused desire to master a skill and then share that knowledge and passion with others. Over the years she’s proven herself as a successful student, leader and communicator. She currently dedicates her time to sharing her years of experience in coffee through the form of consulting and training for the public but also for young adult inmates at Riker’s Island so that they may learn a skill they can use when released.
She brings experience from coffee roasting companies (Devocion, Booskerdoo, Brooklyn Roasting, Intelligentsia, Starbucks), many independent coffee shops from around NYC, and has even had in depth experience with mobile vending trucks (Van Leeuwen Ice Cream), upscale hotels (Le Parker Meridien), and restaurants.
She has used coffees roasted by Devocion, Booskerdoo, MadCap, Coava, Intelligentsia, Gimme Coffee, Stumptown, Counter Culture, Toby’s Estate, Brooklyn Roasting Co, Grumpy, Gorilla, and many more.
And has worked with espresso machines made by Unic (current), Rancilio, La Marzocco (Linea, GB5, FB80, Strada), Synesso, Kees van der Westen Mirage, Slayer, Faema e61, La San Marco, Nuova Simonelli, Astoria, and home espresso machines by various manufacturers. Her experience with grinders includes most Mazzer models both manual and automatic, as well as other espresso grinders of similar quality. She is also familiar with mill coffee grinders including those made by Mahlkonig, Ditting, and Bunn.

Espresso, Cold Brew Toddy and Filtron (1 to 6 gallon yields), Fetco, Bunn, Urn brewers, Hario V60 pour over, French Press, Aeropress, Clever, Clover, Chemex, Siphon, Kalita Wave, and Beehouse.
