Mary Beth McKenzie

Born in Cleveland, OH, 1946, painter Mary Beth McKenzie studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Cooper School of Art, Cleveland, Art Students League, and the National Academy School of Fine Arts. She has taught at the National Academy School of Fine Arts and at the Art Students League. She lives and works in New York City and is represnted by the Spanierman Gallery, NY. Recent exhibitions include the National Arts Club; FAR Gallery; Frank Caro Gallery; Joseph Kiefer Gallery; Union County College, NJ; and in the Looking at You exhibition, Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Smithsonian American Art Museum; Brooklyn Museum of Art; New-York Historical Society; Museum of the City of New York; National Museum for Women in the Arts; New Britain Museum of American Art; and the Art Students League. She is the author of A Painterly Approach (1987).
