Joseph Cavalieri has been active in creating hand painted and silk-screened stained glass panels since 1997. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in New York, he pursued a graphic design career. This included art directing at magazines such as GQ, Good Housekeeping, and People. At the same time, Joseph studied with Kazumi Ikemoto, Klaus Moje, Erica Rosenfeld, and Judith Schaechter at UrbanGlass in Brooklyn. Joseph’s glass work has been included in exhibits throughout the US including the Museum of Arts & Design, NY; Bullseye Glass, Portland, OR; and the Jonathan Shorr Gallery and Leslie/Lohman Gallery, NYC. He has also shown at the Museum Für Angewandte Kunst, Frankfurt, Germany. This year he has been selected for a two-month residency at Northlands Glass in Scotland and invited to speak at the Emerging Artists Lecture at the GAS Conference in Portland, OR.
