Allmaier earned BA degrees in Visual Art (honors) and Philosophy from Brown University. He has an MFA in Painting from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. He has shown his work at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and at galleries in New York, Providence, Berlin, and London.
