What you'll learn in this java class:

As technologies are ever evolving and constantly changing employer needs,  job candidates are required to learn how to learn and logically problem-solve to stay with market demand.

Candidates will learn how to use computational thinking (Abstraction, Analysis, and Automation) to form a solid baseline around Object Oriented Programming and Java Programming. 

This project-based program will help candidates reason and navigate through the “Java coding complexity” using tools such as Eclipse IDE.  

Successful graduates will come out with a background that will prepare them to easily advance in Java programming or to learn almost any coding language.

Hardware: 

Students must provide their own laptops for use in the program. Laptops must meet the minimum requirements listed below*. If you are unable to meet the hardware requirements, loaner devices may be provided per availability. 

Minimum Laptop Requirements:
 - Operating System: Windows 8 or Higher | Mac OS X Mountain Lion or Higher
- Processor: Dual Core 2.5GHz or Quad Core 1.6 GHz
- Memory: 6GB RAM (8GB Preferred)
- Storage: 240GB Hard Drive (Solid State Drive Preferred)
- WiFi-Enabled

Hi there! Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (presently or in the future) and be able to travel to the Bronx, NY for training. Hope this helps.

Take the 6 train to Cypress Ave. Cross Bruckner Blvd and we are 1.5 blocks ahead on the right, across from the Sabrett hot dog factory. Look for our logo on the door. Head up to the 2nd floor and walk to the left to visit the Platform offices. If you are coming from Brooklyn, Queens, Lower Manhattan or Midtown by train, we advise that you take the 4 or 5 train to Harlem - 125th Street and transfer across the platform to the 6 train for a faster commute.
