Agile Training/Facilitation

Proven approach to making virtual training, workshops or meetings effective, brain-friendly & fun with Liberating Structures and Mural.

This training is designed to help you re-think your strategy for effective content delivery in a virtual space as well as maximize collaboration in your Agile teams, your training and your meetings.

The 12 hours course (delivered over 4 days) will arm you with the latest techniques in brain-friendly training design and delivery for virtual space as well as the most current adaptations of Liberating Structures.

This training offers you experiential learning and a mini-Design Jam experience. Create in class, get feedback and bring back a new design for your next meeting, training or a strategy workshop!

Class is limited to 12 participants only.

Familiarity with the Scrum frameworks is helpful, but not mandatory.

What will you be able to do after this class?

1. Set up your Scrum events or training workshops for effective virtual delivery with Zoom (breakout rooms, annotations, poll etc)
2. Reduce the cognitive overload for your participants by picking the least complicated tool that does the job! (Mentimeter, GoogleSlides, Jamboard, Mural etc), reducing a technical barrier for engagement.
3. Completely change the dynamic of your Scrum events with Liberating Structures adapted to the virtual space.
4. Re-design your meetings/ trainings for remote delivery by selecting from a variety of design models (Liberating Structures String or “The 4Cs Map” from Sharon Bowman’s book “Training from the BACK of the Room” (used with permission of the author))
5. Facilitate large-scale collaboration on-line with confidence( Open Space, Conversation Cafe etc)
6. Maximize engagement, long term content retention for your learners and NPR scores for yourself!

Be ready to play with virtual backgrounds, creatively incorporate digital and "old-fashion" physical objects to create engaging, collaborative and fun learning experience!

Sep 15 - Sep 18 - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM EST (with plenty of breaks)

Optional pre-training tools check is available (30 min)

Please allow at least 30 min for a pre-work and a homework between the sessions.

Sep 15 - Session one:

1. Virtual collaboration basics
2. Most versatile Virtual Liberating Structures for collaboration, engagement and debriefing (1-2-4-All, MadTea, W3, Impromptu Networking)

Sept 16 - Session two

Structures for Strategy Sessions, Visioning, Sprint Planning (Wicked Questions, Critical Uncertainties, Ecocycle Planning, Spiral Journal)

Sept 17- Session three:

Virtual Liberating Structures for Daily Scrum, Retrospectives, Large Scale Collaborations ( STAR, Drawing Together, TRIZ, Troika/Wise Crowds, 15 % Solution)

Sept 18 - Session four:

1. Mini-Design Jam Open Space! Bring a topic for your workshop/session and design it in class with Liberating Structures String, collaborate with other participants and get feedback from the instructor. Solve your real-world problem, right here in this class. (Using LS Matchmaker, LS Design Boards and Mural)
2. Liberating Structures for large group collaboration(Open Space, Conversation Cafe)
