the class description is kind of misleading. You don't become a specialist in a one day class. the outlook specialist class is for those who have already been using it for about six months. That was not the case for me. Outlook isn't difficult, I just have not been using It. The instructor is good but he goes a bit fast. He worked on a computer in the back of the room and reflected the screen on a projector. this was fine but the dim lights needed to be more dim so that I could see better. the room was hot, the fan was noisy, and the street noise was distracting. We did not use the manual in the class, the downloaded or the printed version. I think their intention is to show you a little bit of everything and then send you home to practice. I would have liked the class to have been two or even three days long so it could really sink in and I would be willing to pay the price. There were only three people in the class; good, but is this class not popular?

What a fun way to learn! Karen incorporated laughter into the curriculum and helped me unleash my skills. Can't wait to take it again. Thanks!

Review Summary by CourseHorse

Based on the reviews, students found the Microsoft Outlook Level 1 class to be misleading in terms of becoming a specialist in just one day. The class seemed more suitable for those who had been using Outlook for about six months, which was not the case for the reviewer. The instructor was good, but went too fast and relied on a projector, which made it difficult for the student to see. The class did not utilize the manual, suggesting a focus on showing a little bit of everything rather than deep practice. One student mentioned that the class could have been longer to allow the material to sink in. Despite these critiques, one student found the class fun and appreciated the incorporation of laughter into the curriculum.
