Description

What you'll learn in this memoir writing class:

Whether you’re a new, continuing, or returning writer, take the plunge into memoir writing! This workshop will provide a supportive and stimulating springboard for shaping the raw material of your life into short pieces worth sharing.

Together we'll explore elements of craft, experiment with form, tackle obstacles to creativity, and inspire one another. Students who participate are eligible to partake in the December student reading.

Location Note:
All classes are located at the West Side YMCA at 5 West 63rd Street. Students will need to check in with reception, and on their first visit they will need to check in with the Membership Desk to get their program participant card for entry. Reception will direct them to the room where their class is being held.

Refund Policy

The refund policy varies by branch and program, however, in most instances a refund is only given if the school cancels a program. Program credit may only be issued in special circumstances.

In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
