Embark on a sensory journey into the art and science of natural perfumery. In this foundational workshop, you will:

Explore the rich evolution of natural perfumery through history while discovering our extensive library of natural scents.
Learn to navigate the complex world of olfactory families and note classifications, understanding how different extraction methods shape and influence a scent's character.
Delve into the architecture of fragrance as you master the interplay of top, middle, and base notes in perfume composition.
Journey across civilizations to understand the cultural significance of scent, while exploring the fascinating science of olfaction and sensory perception.
Discover how individual skin chemistry influences fragrance development and learn about the mysterious quality of sillage - the scented trail a perfume leaves in its wake.

Throughout the workshop, you'll experience guided sampling sessions featuring signature natural ingredients from our carefully curated library, bringing theory to life through direct sensory experience. By the end of the class, you'll apply your newfound knowledge to create your own signature fragrance, taking home a 15ml bottle of your unique botanical perfume.

Our fee per person includes:

An introduction to natural perfumery, an overview and sampling of our most popular botanical scents (with access to our full library of 130+ aromatics)
All of the raw materials and supplies needed to create your one-of-a-kind 15ml signature fragrance.
We offer house red wine for afternoon and evening workshops at no extra cost

We have one of the most extensive libraries of natural perfume ingredients in the world. Raw materials will include:

130+ therapeutic grade essential oils, absolutes, concretes, resins, and isolates - sourced from more than 40 countries and spanning all major olfactory families.
We have plant-based "leathers" and "musks", exquisite and rare woods, exotic flowers, earthy root extractions, juicy tree fruit, ripe berries, invigorating citrus, verdant grasses, balsamic resins, decadent gourmands, enlivening spices and more - comprehensive selections for both men and women.
Choose an oil base with a roll on applicator, or a traditional perfumers alcohol base with a spray atomizer.
Decorative dried botanicals and semi-precious gemstones can be infused into your oil based fragrance at no extra cost.

Refund Policy

Workshop registration is non-refundable.

If you register for a workshop and become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit to use towards any future event if you notify us 6 business days in advance of the scheduled date.

Workshop credits are not redeemable for cash and cannot be applied to in-store merchandise purchases.

If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!

In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather or other Act of God, you will receive a credit to take another class at a later date.

Thank you for understanding!

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

The classroom was very clean, all the oils were properly labeled. Her illustration on oil extraction origin and scent strength were very precise. I don't even remember her name, which she did told us but through my eyes, her charisma wasn't about herself. Her sole performance was to educate us in the art of scent blending. As you can see, I did enjoy that appreciated time in that classroom. She was very professional from start to finish.

I attended the class with my 11 year old granddaughter. We both enjoyed it very much. It was both fun and interesting. The teacher was knowledgeable, personable and very patient with our questions.

The class was very exciting. I was surprised how engaged everybody got about all the scents and assembling their own! Everyone was so proud of the scent they created! There was no ventilation so the air got quite thick at the end, the screen was way to small to follow the presentation and there was no back support on the seating.

The class was nice and I am pleased with the end result. it was a fun activity to do with a friend. It was very quiet and a little less structured. there was an extra hour that could have been used to foster discussion or bring people together. The larger class size made it trickier to all be smelling the same thing at the same time and discussing it. It would have been nice to make a sticker or label to further customize the perfume.
