Class Description

Description

What you'll learn in this architecture design class:

Rosario Candela played a major role in shaping the architectural legacy of 20th-century New York. Today, his buildings rank among the most prized in the city, almost a century after they were built. What gives Candela's designs such an enduring appeal?

Museum curator Donald Albrecht leads a conversation on the history, design and marketability of these famed addresses with architecture critic Paul Goldberger; architect Peter Pennoyer; and NY real estate executive Elizabeth Stribling.

This program is organized in conjunction with our upcoming exhibition, Mansions in the Sky: The Architecture of Rosario Candela (opens May 17, 2018).
