What you'll learn in this music class:

Originally founded October 15, 1921 by Arthur Cremin, the New York Schools of Music (now City Music Schools) was the realization of his dream to make quality music education available to everyone.

Today we carry on that tradition with inexpensive private instruction on any musical instrument or voice.

Important:

Scheduling for private lessons is flexible and subject to the instructor's availability. If the instructor is unavailable during the date or time originally booked, CourseHorse and the class provider will help arrange for a reschedule that works for both parties.

Once a date and time is decided on, the class provider's standard cancellation policy applies. In the event that schedules don't match up and a date and time cannot be scheduled, students are entitled to a refund.
Price posted is for One hour Private Class. Students will choose their preferred time from 10 am to 8 pm, and have this arranged with the instructor.

Please bring your musical instrument.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

48 hours notice for an excused absence, no refunds, absent lessons can be carried over.

Teachers’ Absence
The City Music Schools teaching staff is chosen from musicians of the highest caliber, many of whom are still actively performing. Because of this, we reserve the right to provide you with an equally qualified substitute, should your regular teacher be unavailable.

Missed Lessons
If you need to miss a lesson, please give CMS 48 hours notice to allow us to reschedule. Students who miss lessons without 48 hours notice will be charged for this lesson. All lesson cards are non-transferable and non-refundable. Payments for lessons must be made on the day of the last lesson paid for on current cards. Time slots with teachers cannot be held without pre-payment.
