What you'll learn in this guitar class:

This is a group Ukulele class, music and materials included, B.Y.O. Ukelele or there are a few here to lend / sell!!. Group classes run for 60 minutes and cover a wide range of ukulele ability. Meet other players, work on assorted techniques, get advice and help with your ukulele!

We mostly work with your favorite rock, pop, some musicals, traditional, folk, country, rap, some blues and more to teach you the basics up through advanced techniques. We can also help you play your favorite songs of just about any genre for a special event, such as a special performance on any stage, at a theater, wedding, anniversary or…? We can even help you write and develop your own original songs.

On the occasion that a group lesson needs to be cancelled by the school, which happens from time to time, each student enrolled has the following options:

1) Schedule a PRIVATE 30-minute lesson at their convenience;

2) Reschedule to the next group class;

3) Request for a full refund

Refund Policy

Students can reschedule at least 24 hours before the class start time.

The 1st missed class or lesson gets a 50% refund, and all following missed lessons or classes get 0% refund. We understand that sometimes, stuff happens. That’s why on a case by case basis, we may refund 100% of your FIRST missed class or lesson, based on your situation. Please bear in mind this is a small school, and that we count on our students’ commitment to keep appointments in order to keep our doors open.

It is located at 34 Monroe Street in downtown Manhattan / Chinatown, between Market and Catherine Streets. We are in an unmarked commercial space just across from the dry cleaner and in the same plaza, down 8 yellow cement steps. PLEASE NOTE: We are not located inside of the apartment building gates, we are in a commercial space.

Hi, I'm a beginner and don't have a ukulele but is considering taking this course. Is this right for me or would it be too advanced? Would I be able to borrow a ukulele from the school before I can get my own? Thank you, Cindy

Hi Cindy! The school said this is an appropriate class for you. Also, there is a $5 fee to borrow a ukulele. Hope this helps!

I wish that there has been a division of different levels so that absolute beginners and intermediate students were a bit more divided

Our teacher was very nice and accommodating. She was prepared for all skill levels and adapted to our needs for the class. Was a great environment for ukulele lessons!
