In this workshop, you'll enhance your cinematography skills by mastering new lighting techniques to effectively tell your story. You'll understand the core concepts of lighting, such as light quality, direction, intensity, and color temperature, and how these elements influence the mood and atmosphere of your shots.
Gain experience in planning your lighting setup in advance and practice lighting various scenes to create different moods, textures, and continuity. You'll get hands-on experience with various lighting tools and accessories, including LED panels, softboxes, reflectors, and diffusers, and learn how to choose the right equipment for different scenarios. You'll understand how lighting interacts with digital camera sensors and how to optimize your lighting setup for camera settings and lenses. During the workshop you'll set up and experiment with lighting equipment in a controlled environment, ensuring you gain confidence and proficiency in your lighting techniques.
Materials: We provide all equipment and are committed to a 2:1 student to camera ratio. Personal equipment is not permitted.
