Certified Transformative Career Coach David J Diamond leads theatre artists in a process of self-discovery, motivation and planning for the next phase of their careers. We will share a deep look at who we are as artists and how we want to move forward toward fulfilling our creative goals. We will focus on how we navigate the current theatrical landscape to maximize the possibility of creating the life and career we want.
Week 1 – Who am I?
An exploration into your desires and goals as a performing artist.
Week 2 – How we see the world
Looking at the ‘real’ world and opportunities to ‘fit’ into existing structures
Week 3 – Dismantling structures
Creating your own opportunities that best serve your artistic expression
Week 4 – What is in the way?
What are the obstacles you see in the way of achieving your goals? How can you overcome them? How will new perspectives on life and career help you achieve your desires.
Week 5 – What do you want to contribute?
Matching our goals for what we want to achieve through our artistic practice with changes we want to see in the world around us.
Week 6 – What tools do I need?
Looking at the tools a performing artist needs to get the opportunities they want. Are your tools serving you? What will make them better?
Week 7 – Re-thinking the Process for Getting Opportunities
How can thinking ‘outside’ the box help you get ahead? What does that mean?
Week 8 – Putting it All Together
Action planning. Taking your clear-eyed assessment of who you are what you want to achieve with your views of the current structure (or how to change it), how will you make that happen in a consistent way without losing momentum in the face of disappointment or limited response to your efforts.
All payments are non-refundable (unless the school cancels the class).
Commitment is for the duration of the session. There are no credits or refunds for individual missed classes. If you discontinue any class before the ending date of the session, you forfeit your fee.
A student may not transfer to a different class once a class has begun.
The school reserve the right to change teachers at any time.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
