Ready to join a group of fellow bluegrass enthusiasts? Learn the art of bluegrass jamming and gain the skills needed to play with others in this two-week session. Get ready to jump in and learn popular bluegrass tunes from the pros!
Have you ever wanted to play bluegrass music with other people but never knew where to start? This class will focus on just that: bluegrass jam etiquette.
We will learn various popular bluegrass tunes from artists such as Bill Monroe, the Stanley Brothers, and many more. You’ll also learn basic skills like ear training and music theory to help you navigate tunes you may not be familiar with, and give you the essentials to sound great even on a tune you have never heard before! This class is primarily designed for those taking the fall class to continue on, but anyone at a level where they can jump in and learn tunes is welcome to register for this two-week session.
The school reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient registration.
If the school cancel a class due to low enrollment or other reasons, you will be notified by email and/or phone before the class start date, and we will issue school credit. If you would like a refund, you must contact us at [email protected] to arrange for a refund. In the event of a canceled class, we would love to help you find an alternate instrument to learn!
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
The Jalopy Theatre and School of Music offers classes in guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, ensemble classes and harmony singing. They also offer workshops on a variety of musical techniques, styles and histories for adults and kids.
