Refine your stage presence and conquer performance anxiety with expert guidance in this transformative workshop. Elevate your performance skills and unlock your full potential in any high-pressure situation.
Who hasn't felt a little shy at parties? Maybe you've felt that social awkwardness or even social anxiety at parties, networking events or even workshops! Do you worry about people judging you as "not normal" in group settings?
This is the workshop series to attend. You will not be alone, and it is guaranteed that you will leave with new insights and a boost of social confidence to take with you each week.
This series is designed to:
The group will meet weekly to discover shared issues to explore through a dynamic role play method called Sociodrama. There will never be pressure to "perform." You may decide to volunteer for a role or you may choose to witness. No matter what you choose, you will learn something new about yourself and humanity.
This group is limited to 15 people. This is not group therapy. This is 'embodied problem solving' at its finest. Anyone can participate. There is no experience necessary besides being a human.
This is a group exploration in a safe space held by Jamie Lynn McCoppin, a drama therapist with over 45 hours of Sociodrama training. Jamie created and taught an original course for University students with speech anxiety in 2013 using Sociodrama to improve confidence. Students reported a 100% success rate.
Due to the planning and preparation required for this unique workshop series, no refunds will be given up to 30 days before the first workshop session. However, if you are not able to attend one of the sessions, you may make-up that session by attending a drop-in session after the 6-week series that will be open to the public. The date for that drop-in session will be announced at the beginning of the session.
