We get it, you’ve been dreaming about going to St. Petersburg, but you’ve taken a decade off learning Russian. But you’re ready for that all to change with Russian 1. This class is perfect for you if you're completely new to the language and want to get the basics down to start speaking conversational Russian.

Here's What To Expect

Know Before You Go
Nothing! Because this course is designed for complete beginners, you’ll be ready to join even if you’ve never spoken a word of Russian in your life.

The Nitty Gritty

• Basics of reading and writing Russian. 
• Decline nouns in nominative and prepositional cases. 
• Conjugation of verbs in present tense. 
• Noun and adjective case. 
• Number and gender agreement. 
• Demonstrative and possessive pronouns in the nominative case. 
• 7-letters and 5-letter spelling rules.

You'll Be Able To

• Introduce yourself to native speakers. 
• Talk about your family. 
• Talk about what you like to do in your free time.

From day one, you’ll be engaging in conversation with your instructor and your classmates. This will prepare you to feel confident and comfortable when speaking with natives.
