Description
What you'll learn in this kids cooking class:
Kids love wrapping presents and their foods. Did you know that ravioli comes from the Italian riavvolgere, which means "to wrap"?
In this series of at home Summer Cooking Workshops, kids will embark on a culinary adventure around the world. They will explore and make their own versions of popular wrapped and rolled foods from a variety of ethnic cuisines.
Appropriate for kids ages 4-14 with varying support from adults. Teaching Table will walk you through how to assist and empower your children in the kitchen.
Select one, two, three or all of the following sessions:
- Monday July 6th: Vegetable or Pork and Chive Dumplings (your choice)
- Monday July 13th: Handmade Ravioli
- Monday July 20th: Busting at the Seams Burritos
- Monday July 27th: Potato & Cheese [and Caramelized Onion] Pierogi
- Monday August 3rd: Summer Rolls or Vietnamese Bahn Xeo
- All recipes are customizable to special diets and to make with readily available ingredients. Teaching Table will support you through substitutions.
- Workshops meet for 90 minutes from 3:00-4:30 pm so that foods can be prepared for Monday night dinner!
- Workshops are live virtual lessons on Google meets. Link is provided upon completed registration and receipt of payment.
- Session recordings will be made available to all registered students.
- You will receive all recipes and a list of suggested ingredients and materials one week in advance of the class.
- Curriculum is appropriate for kids ages 4-14 years old, with appropriate support provided by adults in the home and Teaching Table.
- Classes require some advanced prep and final cooking steps by parents (or older students). All instructions will be provided.
- You can register your child for the entire intensive (all 5 Mondays) or select 1, 2, 3 or 4 of the available sessions. Please indicate preferred sessions in the form below.
- The price is per email address. All household members, including siblings, can participate for one low price of $30 per session.
- Sign up for all 5 sessions and get the 5th FREE! 1 session = $30 each or ALL 5 sessions = $120
- Limited space available. In order to provide personalized instruction, registration will be capped at 15 participants. Register now by completing this form.

Refund Policy
For single-session public events or classes or single days within multi-day classes:
- If student cancels 6 business days or more before the class/event start time (or before receiving course materials), student is eligible for a refund (less a 7% processing fee) or a credit (100% of purchase price) towards another class/event.
- If it is within 6 business days of your scheduled event, you can transfer your class to another individual or receive the recording and materials of virtual classes digitally.
- No shows cannot be refunded. Cancelling after the cut off, withdrawing, or failing to attend results in forfeiting the full amount of the class or event fee. With approval of teacher, student may send someone else to participate and/or receive materials.
- Most, but not all, classes are recorded. Please confirm in advance of class if you will be relying on the recording.
The school reserves the right to cancel an event or class due to low enrollment, inclement weather or other circumstances that would make the event or class non-viable. Public class participants will be notified via email and may elect to receive a full refund less a 5% non refundable registration fee, a class credit, or admission to another class, pending availability.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
