Point and Lint to Plane @ Gugenheim Museum

Students attending this class will be introduce to high art in a fun hands on fashion which is geared towards art appreciation with special emphasis on Jewish culture and influences in art history.

This class is a 2 hour drop off class where children meet real artists, create art projects of their own inspired by the famous art works, reflect about their creative processes in a community of peers and friends and celebrate together.

Led by professional NYC certified teaching artist, children develop their cognitive and motor skills, while gaining perspectives and knowledge that contributes to the school curriculum.

The pilot includes:

• Visits to the New York City greatest museums (The Metropolitan, moma, Guggenheim)
• Visit to an artist studio with a hands on project(printmaking, sculpture, e.t.c)/visit to a concert with a professional musician
• Jewish holiday celebration party.
