What you'll learn in this wine class:

Believe it or not, wine doesn’t have to be unapproachable, and you don’t have to know everything about it to enjoy it OR to start studying it. In this introductory class, we explore the basics of wine, to help you establish a better foundation for future wine knowledge.

Join us as we taste through our favorite varietals to explore a range of wine regions, and styles. Topics include: wine storage; decanting; how climate affects wine; the elements of wine; common grape varietals and wine regions; wine production; serving wine; wine and food pairings… and more!  Whether you’re a wine novice or a wine aficionado, this class is the perfect introductory and refresher course for any wine lover.

Once your class session has ended, we'd love for you to stay and dine afterwards! All class attendees will receive 10% off their meal.

CLASS AND EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY

Our goal is always to make it easy for you to learn about, share, and explore wine. We offer advance registration for classes and reservations for special events to make planning easier for you. We also always encourage you to drop by our studio at any time to see what’s happening. Classes and events will always remain open to drop-ins until there are no more seats available.

But we also understand that schedules change. For that reason, our cancellation policy is as follows:

For cancellations over 48 hours in advance, a refund will be issued in the original form of payment. To request a cancellation, please email [email protected] with your order number.

For cancellations within 48 hours, no credit/exchange is possible. If you’re unsure of your schedule and don’t feel like registering in advance, you’re always welcome to “drop in” for your desired class or event, as space may still be available.

Note that for classes and events with limited space, the online registration/reservation system shows the number of spots currently available, so you can refer to it for an idea of how much space may be left. Click on the Number of Attendees drop-down as if you were going to register/reserve. The maximum number of attendees you can select indicates how many spots currently remain.

We also encourage you to send a friend in your place if something comes up and you can’t attend.

Last night's Wine 101 class at Corkbuzz Wine Bar and Restaurant was the most engaging and informative 90 minutes I've ever paid for! Money well spent! I realized within the first 10 minutes that one can't really learn about wine without delving into the worlds of History, Geography, Chemistry, Botany, etc., which made this intro even more exciting. The bar's Somellier, Jake, broke down this otherwise intimidating labyrinth of a topic with humor, humility, passion, and a quick wit, while encouraging us to share our personal impressions and descriptions of the evening's featured wines. (Wines which were served with rustic bread, dried fruit, cheeses, and their house-made Ricotta). Thanks, Jake and Corkbuzz! You exceeded my expectations! See you again! Daniela
