What you'll learn in this macaron class:

This class will give you a real hands-on session in cooking and baking macaron.

You will learn about the theory of the macaron and spend around 3 hours preparing and baking. Everyone will also enjoy a free macaron tasting!

Note: We need 5-6 people to host the class and if this number have not been reach will have to cancel the class.

What macaron flavors are we going to make in this class? If there is a larger variety, can we choose what we want to make?

I don't think you can choose. The instructor prepares the filling in advance because of the time constraints of the class. The macarons are made from scratch with different color additives (i.e. some food coloring). We were given two color options for the macarons and three filling options. The purpose of the class is to teach the fundamentals of preparing macarons; the coloring/filling is easy to do and does not require much technique.

It is a lot of fun. My class was taught in English. The chef we had was from France, so this may be helpful if you need. We made 21 macarons (three flavours, seven of each).

Nice class. All the supplies and ingredients are ready for you in class. The chef did a good job explaining the steps and techniques to a class of mostly novices. I was able to recreate these steps and recipes he gave us at home and it worked really well. I can now make french macarons!

The class was great. It demystified making macarons. They came out great and were delicious. I will try to make them myself soon. Only downsides was the class size was larger than normal as 2 latecomers showed up( there seemed to be a mix up) Teacher accommodated but the amount of materials was thrown off. The teacher adapted as he went along.
