Class was DEFINITELY worth the money in terms of the 4 course meal and all you can drink wine. However, 7 dishes for an amateur like myself was A LOT to take in (hence the 4/5 star rating). Can't say I retained much but i did have a lot of fun! Chef was great and really enjoyed his presentations. The good part is they give you a packet with instructions to take home. Class was small about 10-12 people, and everyone was very friendly and engaged. I went by myself and still had a great time. Would definitely recommend!!

Miette means, "little crumb" in French. This name was chosen while giving cooking classes at the restaurant Tartine in the West Village. Since Tartine means "slice of bread" we thought it an appropriate name for the school!

There are 2 entrances located between Umbertos Clam House. One is to the left if facing the restaurant and that is 1 flight up the stairs you will need to press 11 then the green bell key and wait to be buzzed in. The other is to the right of the restaurant that is a black street level elevator and just press the elevator button to gain access and go to the 2nd floor. There is also an intercom system there as well in case the elevator is locked. Closest Train stations are: B,D at Grand Street,N, R, J, Q, 6 at Canal Street. Parking is available on Elizabeth & Mott between Hester and Canal Street.
