What you'll learn in this culinary class:

Escape to Valencia with our authentic Spanish Paella class!

In this fun and interactive class, you will learn how to create this famous Spanish favorite known for its signature golden saffron hue, smoky flavors of chorizo, fresh seafood and textured vegetables.

You will also learn how to flavor profile and blend Spanish flavors, and where to source fresh, seasonal ingredients in order to master the perfect Paella. Perfect for entertaining, wow your friends and family at your next dinner party with your new found signature dish!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.

Notes:

  • You will be seated with your booking party and socially distanced from other guests.
  • Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, wearing your mask.
  • Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price.
  • Guests are invited to BYOB (beer or wine).

NOTE: This class can only accept bookings of 2 or more. If you are booking your class as a group please make the reservation under one name, as a full booking group.

Refund Policy

Cancellation or reschedule request has to be made at least 5 business days before the class for groups of less than 6 people and 16 business days for groups of 6 people or more.

For cancellation requests, please contact us at [email protected] in order to receive credits for booking a future class. Tickets are non-refundable.

However, you are always welcome to send someone in your place because we understand things could happen.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    Jerry was very nice, very welcoming, made a very nice environment and was entertaining (kept the mood up and happy). The class flowed smoothly. A bit more attention to detail like the recipe handout was missing baking temp and time as well as Sofrito ingredient. Home made Sofrito would have been a nice touch and the recipe for it would have given the history lesson a nice twist. Overall nice time.

    I'm only giving it 3 stars because it's not a real cooking school; it's a makeshift kitchen in a hotel lounge. There were 20 students and we broke up into 4 groups to cook after the demonstration. Since there were so many members to each team, each person could only do one thing (such as slice a pepper or sausages). In spite of that, it was an enjoyable afternoon and the instructor, Jerry, is super nice. The paella was very tasty and the other members of our team were also very nice.

    What a fun class! What a great recipe! I absolutely would recommend this class, and would take another class with Eliott in a heartbeat. I wish we had a printed recipe afterwards, but the entire process was so clear I was able to write it down when I got home. This dish is incredible!!!

Is the shrimp you use frozen and packaged or is it fresh?

He used precooked frozen packaged shrimp but he said you can use fresh if you want you obviously just cook it before.

Do you eat the paella at the end of the class and/or take it with you? Is it a meal-sized portion for each person? I'll be in the city all day with my mom and need to know if we should make any lunch arrangements or if this will cover it :)

Hi there! Students get to eat what they cook or make at the end of the class. They will be working in groups so each group would have enough servings for 2-3 people. Hope this helps!

Hello there! You will work with other students in a group of four in the paella class. So if the student comes alone or in a group less than 4, it is hard to adjust the recipe. Hope this helps!
