What you'll learn in this italian cooking class:

Antipasti & Trivia Night: Focus on Italy’s Southern Street Food

Have you ever wondered about the origins of some of Italy’s Southern Street Food culture? How did certain items became favorites on the street? What moments in Italy's history helped to contribute to the cuisine and culture? To help answer those questions, uncover some of those secrets, and test your foodie and cultural knowledge, we are delighted to welcome back Carla Gambescia. Carla is the author of La Dolce Vita University: An Unconventional Guide to Italian Culture from A to Z, a unique compendium of all things Italian: from food & wine to history, art, style and more and winner of the Silver Prize for "Best Travel Book of the Year" by the North American Travel Journalists Association.

Carla will be your witty “MC”, expert and passionate guide for the evening. As you enjoy fascinating trivia, you’ll also savor 3 of our favorite Southern Street Foods, prepared by our La Scuola Chefs. Of course no trivia night or meal is complete without delicious libations along the way; naturally we’ll serve wines, perfectly paired and selected by our Beverage Director.

In this class guests will:

  • Enjoy 3 antipast prepared by the Chef of La Scuola perfectly paired with wines specially chosen by our Beverage Director
  • "Test" their knowledge of Italian dishes and culture with expert Carla Gambescia
  • Make new friends

Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes. Seating is first-come first-served. Please note, class includes demonstration and tasting and is not hands-on. All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older.
