What you'll learn in this korean cooking class:

Explore the world of exciting flavors and textures of Korean home cooking with us! You’ll learn how to prepare some of the most popular Korean dishes in simple steps that are true to authentic flavors yet updated for your home kitchen.

From the basics of the foundational sauces in Korean cuisine to tips on how to make improvisations and store batches ahead, the class is also filled with Korean cooking tips and simple kitchen techniques. Of course, we’ll highlight each dish in the cultural context, be it an interesting historical background or a feature in popular Korean dramas.

On the menu:
  • Ddeokbokgi two ways 
  1. Jeongol - Spicy rice cake stew with vegetables, fish cakes, and glass noodles 
  2. Gui - Roasted rice cake sticks in spicy-tangy garlic sauce and toasted almond slices 
  • Jjajangmyeon – Noodles in sweet black bean sauce with pork 
  • Kimchi mandu - Dumplings with kimchi and tofu filling 
  • Danmuji – Yellow radish pickles 
  • DYI Patbingsu bar – Shaved ice with sweet red beans, mini rice cakes, and ice cream
Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone that is also registered for class unless otherwise stated.

For the safety of all our students, we ask you come prepared for class. This includes adhering to few safety regulations in our kitchen:
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes.
  • Hair must be tied back.

Refund Policy
We reserve the right to cancel the class if not enough people sign up by 72 hours before the scheduled class.

No refunds are offered on Banchan Story's classes. Students must cancel at least 72 hours before the scheduled class to receive the full value of their purchase in store credit to be used towards another class.  

We limit registration for groups up to four. For groups of four, we request that students must cancel class at least seven business days in advance to receive credit. Cancellations within 72 hours are not eligible for store credit. However, we are always happy to welcome someone in your place. 

Class spots are fully transferable.
