What you'll learn in this bread making class:

Learn the secrets of homemade sourdough bread featuring Arnie, The Bread Baker of Riverdale. Arnie will walk you through the 36 hour process of making a loaf of bread in just 2.5 hours!

Don't worry if you're new to baking – Arnie will guide you every step of the way making the process easy to understand and enjoyable. Working with simple ingredients and traditional techniques, you'll feel a sense of accomplishment as create your own delicious bread from scratch.

You will go home with the knowledge of how to make sourdough bread, recipes, and homemade sourdough starter to make sourdough bread at home. Don't forget your freshly baked bread to take home with you either!

  • 2.5 hour hands-on class
  • Each student will go home with the skills as well as recipes and detailed instructions to prepare sourdough bread for your family and friends to enjoy
  • Each student will also go home with the bread they baked and a sourdough starter

Please Note:

  • All classes/events are subject to cancellation if the minimum number of participants is not reached.
  • Please note students work in groups of 4 (maximum)
  • BYOB: All events are "Bring Your Own Bottle”
  • Kitchen will be open 10 minutes before listed class time and class will start promptly at listed time.
  • IMPORTANT: In order to ensure a great experience for all, participants who arrived more than 15 minutes after the scheduled class time will not be permitted to join the class and will forfeit the class. No refunds or rescheduling will be permitted.

Refund Policy

  • In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount. for refund requests made no later than 6 business days before the start of classes/events.
  • No refunds/reschedule will be issued otherwise, unless the class/tasting has been canceled by Atelier Sucré, wherein 100% of the class and fee will be refunded.
