Description
What you'll learn in this quilting class:
Want to quilt your own quilts on your home sewing machine, but too intimidated to do free motion? There's so much you can do with a walking foot! Learn the basics of straight line (and a few slight curves) quilting in this introductory class.
We'll cover the basics including marking, quilting parallel lines, and basic patterns. You can use our classroom Bernina's or bring your own machine with a walking foot.
Prerequisite:
Must know how to use a sewing machine. No quilting experience necessary.
Required supplies to bring with you (all supplies available for purchase at Gotham Quilts):
- WALK: Master Machine Quilting with your Walking Foot by Jacquie Gering (Optional, but highly recommended)
- 2 quilt sandwiches with a solid fabric on at least one side, approx. 18" x 22"
- Thread to contrast with your fabric
- Thread Scissors
- Marking Pen/Pencils
- 12"-24" Ruler
- Seam Ripper
