What you'll learn in this embroidery class:
Learn how to embroider in this one-day workshop taught by Soraya Navia.
Join Queens-based artist, Soraya Navia, in this beginner embroidery workshop. Using needle and thread, students will learn how to apply several embroidery stitches to a customizable fabric pattern. Students will leave with a finished stitching sampler, a handmade embroidered piece of art (ready to hang on the wall!), and all the supplies needed to continue mastering this popular art form!
School Notes:
OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. QED has coffee, tea, soda, beer & wine plus snacks and pre-made wraps and sandwiches available.
Refund Policy
- We require at least 8 business days notice before a class in order to issue a refund less 5% cancellation fee and there are no transfers to future classes allowed.
- Tickets are transferable meaning we will allow anyone to take your place in class, so check around with your friends to see if someone else would like your spot.
In case of bad weather, classes WILL always take place unless the subway system is closed down. If you have issues traveling, please keep this in mind when you purchase your ticket. If the school do cancel for an emergency, we will try to reschedule the class on the same day of the week at the same scheduled time as soon as possible. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, we will refund you the price of your seat.

Great class for those who know absolutely nothing of embroidery! We learned five stitches and the basics of knotting, threading, etc. Soraya is an excellent instructor – generous, patient, and a clear communicator. She made us all starter kits to use and take home, and encouraged us to take thread home to finish our projects. Thanks for a great experience! I'd recommend this course to others–– though perhaps at a different venue. Q.E.D. was too cold and not well lit.
