What you'll learn in this embroidery class:

Want to learn the fundamentals of hand embroidery? Then this is the class for you! You'll leave class with an embroidery hoop, floss, a needle, and all the information you need to start making your embroidery dreams come true. Each person will start an embroidery project on a tea towel that they can also take home and finish. I will cover how to transfer patterns to fabric and three basic stitches (back stitch, split stitch and the french knot). 

Each student will work on a apple pattern for their tea towel. If you have a special request for a different pattern, please reach out to Coursehorse for the instructor's contact details.
School Notes: OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED. QED has coffee, tea, soda, beer & wine plus snacks and pre-made wraps and sandwiches available.

Refund Policy

  • We require at least 8 business days notice before a class in order to issue a refund less 5% cancellation fee and there are no transfers to future classes allowed.
  • Tickets are transferable meaning we will allow anyone to take your place in class, so check around with your friends to see if someone else would like your spot.

In case of bad weather, classes WILL always take place unless the subway system is closed down. If you have issues traveling, please keep this in mind when you purchase your ticket. If the school do cancel for an emergency, we will try to reschedule the class on the same day of the week at the same scheduled time as soon as possible. If you cannot make the rescheduled date, we will refund you the price of your seat.

Do you teach left-handers?

HI there! The kind of embroidery Q.E.D. will be teaching is an introductory class. During which we will just be teaching a simple stem stitch and french knot. Both of these are easily adaptable for right or left-handed people. Hope this helps!
