So worth it that we’re going to do it again with friends! My husband and I took a pottery wheel class to celebrate our anniversary, and it was absolutely fantastic! The teacher was lovely and incredibly helpful, guiding us through every step of the process with patience and encouragement. We had so much fun learning the techniques, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. When our pieces were glazed and fired, we were thrilled with the final products— they turned out beautifully. Learn how to throw clay on the potter's wheel in this NYC workshop. In this class, you’ll receive a short demonstration on how to create a cup or bowl on the pottery wheel. Then, you’ll try it yourself with guidance from the instructor, practicing until you get a piece you love. Each student will take home one fired piece, to be picked up in one week.

Supplies and Materials
All materials needed for the class, including clay, tools, and glazing, will be provided.
Additional Notes
This class is beginner-friendly, with no prior experience required.
You’ll take home one fired piece, which will be glazed for you.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy and tie your hair back. We recommend trimming your nails and removing jewelry before the class.
The class is perfect for individuals, couples, or as a team-building activity, birthday, or bachelorette party.
Your piece will be ready for pick-up one week after the class.
Please set a reminder to pick up your pottery, as Pottery NYC does not send out pick-up reminders. All works are kept for a 14-day grace period, and “expire” three weeks after the class date.
